Who we are and what we do
During my time in St. George, while nannying, I also worked at a behavioral health center for youth ages 5–18, where I supported children in developing therapeutic skills to navigate life’s challenges. That experience deepened my passion for understanding child development and led me to move to Salt Lake City to pursue a degree in Psychology from the University of Utah.
I currently nanny for two families, and I have been with them for 7 and 2½ years. Throughout my career, I have been deeply committed to fostering healthy environments that are not only fun and nurturing but also support children in developing autonomy, responsibility, and confidence.
Hello all!
My name is Ashley Kraft, and I have over 12 years of experience as a nanny, beginning my career in Olympia, Washington, where I provided consistent care for a primary family while also supporting several others. After the family relocated, I returned to my hometown of St. George, Utah, where I continued to grow in my work as a nanny.
I founded Crafted Nanny after hearing from families and friends about how challenging it can be to find a truly exceptional nanny. As I compared their experiences to my own, I recognized an opportunity to raise the standard of nannying while also giving back. Every nanny I place is held to the same level of professionalism, care, and integrity I hold myself to, with thoughtful consideration of each family’s unique needs.

Our Donation Side &
Articles about the Child Care Affordability Crisis
At Crafted Nanny, our commitment to community extends beyond placement. I was both concerned and motivated by ongoing conversations and policy decisions surrounding childcare that often fail to fully support families—especially during a time when many are facing a significant childcare affordability crisis.
While I am deeply grateful to work with families who are able to invest in high-quality care, I also recognize that access to reliable childcare is not a reality for everyone. That awareness inspired me to build a model that gives back in a meaningful and tangible way.
Through Crafted Nanny, we aim to bridge that gap by fostering a sense of community and shared support. For every placement we make, we donate 15%—the same percentage as our placement fee—to help families in need access childcare.
Our goal is to create not only thoughtful placements, but also a broader impact—supporting families, strengthening communities, and contributing to a more equitable childcare landscape.
